If you're booking a Body Composition DEXA Scan, you might be wondering how much time to allow.

The good news is that the scan itself takes just 3 minutes.

At Physique Science, we use one of the most advanced DEXA scanners available. Many body composition DEXA systems take 6–7 minutes to complete a scan, but our technology completes it in around half the time, making the experience quicker and more comfortable.

Your appointment for an Initial DEXA scan will take approximately 20 minutes in total. While the scan is incredibly fast, the rest of the appointment is focused on ensuring you get the most value from your visit.

We'll carefully position you on the scanner to ensure your results are as accurate and consistent as possible. Once your scan is complete, we'll take you through your results, explaining your body fat percentage, lean muscle mass, visceral fat and bone mineral content, so you understand what they mean and how they relate to your health, fitness or performance goals.

A Body Composition DEXA Scan isn't just about collecting data—it's about helping you understand your body and giving you the confidence to make informed decisions about your nutrition, training and overall health.
